urther developing our business partnership with Morgan Sindall as their regional supplier for Construction Services, HARDHAT has begun working on their new teaching block project at Bellerive School. We have been lucky enough to work with Morgan Sindall for over 10 years on various flagship projects.

This particular project comprises of the construction of a £6.7m teaching block to house the sixth form element of the schools teaching facility. This new build will enable the school to continue to cater for the needs of the pupils and teaching staff.

Through early discussions HARDHAT were able to highlight the need for an economical and competitive approach to this project. We focused on providing a turnkey solution enabling us to manage and quote for the full services needed. In order to ensure that the project was as cost effective as possible for all parties involved we were able to reduce the administration needed on the project by providing KPI reports generated automatically through software.

The security package included full out of hours guarding, the installation of HD CCTV which provided excellent quality video recording covering all elevations of the building, this was recorded both locally in the guard house and also at their remote headquarters. They also supplied and installed a security gatehouse with “fingerprint recognition” for controlling access and egress to the site.

At the heart of this control is the management of time, to ensure operatives are delivering the hours that MS has booked for. Operative’s book on/off so no unauthorised billing can occur.  We have achieved the budget spend on all services delivered.

Sustainability was a key element in this project and it was important to show that all areas were covered in relation to the local and wider area. HARHDAT implements a system on all sites which concentrate on looking after all natural resources as well as minimising energy and waste. Our initiatives are all designed with the local community in mind and keeping them informed at all times.

From design to delivery HARDHAT are able to oversea the program and release the project team to focus on building matters rather that non-critical services we manage.
